NURSING MANAGEMENT OF MALNUTRITION

  MALNUTRITION: This is a life threatening situation that occurs when the body lacks both essential and non essential nutrients (chemical of the body). CAUSES: 1.Inadequate or imbalanced diet e.g protein energy malnutrition(PEM) or vitamin deficiency. 2.Malabsorption or indigestion problems. 3.Certain medical conditions  e.g inflammatory bowel syndrome. 4.Starvation for along period of time. SYMPTOMS: -Fatigue -Dizziness -Weight loss. ORGANISING  INTRODUCTION Organizing is a function of management, which follows planning in which the synchronization and combination of human, financial and other physical resources take place.   Organizing involves the manager determining how to distribute resources and arrange employees according to set plan. The manager identifies different values after which he or she then delegates authority and assigns different duties to deserving positions and then provides direction to the works so as not to stray from the planned direction.
